Singapore, report cards: Hamilton unbeatable in the night. Button on the run, Vettel and Rosberg victims of his nerves

28/09/09 - Lewis Hamilton leaves Singapore at the time of Suzuka well aware that he had hoarded up the spoils in terms of scoring, an accomplice McLaren on a high downforce circuit has almost magically regained competitiveness on display on the slide and the Budapest circuit nell'atipico city of Valencia.
The honor to uncork the champagne on the podium with the world champion in office, now about to sell the precious scepter to his successor, has fallen to the German Timo Glock and Fernando Alonso never domo, both in the first place in the top 3 season, with the standard-bearer of Renault in the press conference devoted to the third place Flavio Briatore who deserved tribute to the work of the Italian manager for Anglo-French team.
Completely opposite situations inside the box Brawn Grand Prix, Red Bull, as the standard bearers of the stables built on the ashes of the Honda were able to make some serious points to the team while 'playing' in defense. Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello finished it in fifth and sixth place respectively behind Sebastian Vettel, the only rival left in the race for the title after Australian Mark Webber crash protections against the exit of Turn 1. The German house of Red Bull still has chances of remaining in the attack laurel view more important, it should be stressed however that the gap from the leader Button, estimated at 25 points, gives little hope to sometimes precipitous native driver in Heppenheim, rightly penalized with a drive through penalty for breaking the speed limit in pit lane. Less severe in terms of driving, but equally devastating result for the error that took away from the positions of the ranking nobility Nico Rosberg, asphalt victim 'dirt' on their return to the track to pit-stop operations carried out.
A bit 'of relief for Robert Kubica, capable of clawing a punticino in spite of a BMW is still in debt for Oxygen to the main opponents. A real 'broth' seventh-place finish by Heikki Kovalainen, as usual, unable to offer itself in the guise of an alternative to the overwhelming power of the company of those Hamilton. Almost superfluous any consideration of the performance of Ferrari drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Giancarlo Fisichella, severely limited dall'asfittico package F60, to say the least glamorous unwatchable in the context of Singapore. So much sympathy but little luck for the Italian colors, and then, with Jarno Trulli, the twelfth to the end, who took the trouble to precede the finish line, the duo Fisichella-Liuzzi.
Who halls:
Lewis Hamilton (10 votes): To see him run so it is a pleasure for the eyes. Thanks also to the use of kinetic energy recovery system installed on his McLaren on pole position to take great culmination of a weekend free of burrs, fly away to a victory that probably even a more threatening Sebastian Vettel in the course the second stint he could escape. He must have learned the lesson of Monte Carlo, when he crashed in qualifying compromising the weekend's racing team in Woking, because this time the 'citizen' in Singapore to educate and himself.
Timo Glock (grade 9): Where were we? Ah yes, the Hungarian Grand Prix 2008, the last podium finish of the German leadership that Toyota wanted to engage at all costs in the aftermath of winning the title in the GP2 Main Series 2007 edition. In Singapore, wonderfully assisted by a TF109 to expectations, Glock resumed the thread abruptly interrupted over a year ago. Too bad that Timo (but this applies also for Jarno Trulli) we never know what response to expect from this package from time to time by the German-Japanese team.
Fernando Alonso (9 votes): A continuous progression. Thus we can define the conduct of the race two times world champion, won on the streets of Singapore in the notorious 2008 edition. Fernie and the street circuits like this are hardly new, rather surprising as the future Ferrari driver (oops, Montezemolo forgive us!) Manages to conclude on the lowest step of the podium at the wheel of a car far from compelling. Eventually, the duties thanks to the former Managing Director Flavio Briatore of Renault, as if to prove that the fiercely F.1 Circus of someone, even if bi-champion of the world, really does not like to forget.
Jenson Button (7 votes): In what the Brawn Grand Prix in Singapore would have a mountain of problems to solve on the performance of the car, yet the English, more and more clear leader in the standings, manages to claw a fifth place showing Comrade Team drivers Rubens Barrichello and Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel a merciful. Between Suzuka and Abu Dhabi can only worry about managing the advantage gained, less than a resounding 'tail strike' team-mate Brazilian.
Who goes:
Sebastian Vettel (grade 3): It is presented in Singapore in tight battle for the title with the duo Brawn Grand Prix knowing that you have little chance of getting out the winner, but it complicates life itself thanks to a slow start that could make him lose precious seconds over the first. Recovered well and by mid race looks even able to trouble the riding of Hamilton, but then 'falls' into the trap of excessive speed in pit lane ruining everything. It 'also lucky, because in a different time of the Grand Prix could have made the end of Nico Rosberg, cut off the points. A wasted opportunity that will certainly weigh a ton of German psychological balance for the next event in Suzuka. There's little more to lose, yet the impression is that Vettel has yet to complete their maturation process before being able to focus seriously iris.
Heikki Kovalainen (5 votes): close to the seventh-place finish two very important points from the perspective of the Ferrari-McLaren battle for the third step of the Constructors' Championship, Heikki nevertheless remains in the shadows for the duration of the race gaining one position relative to result of qualifying. The considerable gap fast acceleration towards team-mate Hamilton clearly show that in Woking urgently needed a change, especially if in 2010 you want to fight for the constructors' title.
Nico Rosberg (4 votes): From Melbourne to Monza has never erred Edith, too bad though that just in Singapore, namely when the Williams driver feels he can bring home at least a podium finish, the spell breaks while bringing the willing Rosberg in limbo of mediocrity. Everything perfect till the first pit-stop: Nico performs regular operations tire change and refueling, and then start toward the exit of pit lane and then hitting the dreaded 'cut' of the white line, which in his case, it extends even containment to the curb. Given the result, perhaps in the future, carefully avoid overly optimistic statements to reporters just minutes from the red lights go out.
Adrian Sutil (grade 4): Forced to straddling the rear with a Force India in clear involution on a high downforce circuit, a protege of Vijay Mallya remains for a long time drains the Toro Rosso of Jaime Alguersuari before attempting the attack at a point where overtaking was almost impossible. Spun, Sutil has a good idea to press the accelerator again becoming overwhelmed by an incredulous Nick Heidfeld, to say the least annoyed by the incident that led both to retire. Must be careful in the future, because in India there are many zone Force pilots interested in blowing the place in 2010.
